Blame it on Hemingway

For as long as I can remember I wanted to become Ernest Hemingway. There were a few obstacles to this. One being he was male,  he was Ernest Hemingway and immortalised in his books, and he lived in a different era. It has been said ‘be yourself as everyone else is taken’ so despite the fact that I am in awe of Ernest Hemingways’ feats, adventures and writing I have to remain content with his  inspiration and be myself. I wanted to see the places he saw, live the adventures and write my own story. At times I have followed in his footsteps but as life is so different now I am content to experience the things that my life offers. Life is awesome, the journey is still a blast and there are so many things that I would like to share. I have been privileged to be able to attend so many festivals, carnivals, parties and gatherings. The core to most of these has been music and my involvement, funnily enough, has not been the writing but the photography. So with blogging101 my aim is to combine a passion for music, a love of photography and a desire to be able to write a story that will make the reader feel as if they were there and would like to be inspired to create their own festival, fiesta, carnival or party.

Keep an eye out – enjoy the ride and find a festival to make your own!

People who do things that count, never stop to count them.
Be yourself. Everyone else is taken.
Try not to become a person of success but rather a person of value.
